Hey Guys,

So i am kinda confused...
Have been tossing up the idea of painting my rims black - however - i'm still undecided...
I'm kinda over the look of the rims that are on her - but i really really love the DISH!

I have had them photoshopped - and i am pretty sure its going to look awesome!
(pics below)....

However - since they are genuine RAYS - would i be stupid to paint them?

What are you thoughts?

Paint black, leave them as is? or got another idea??

I have thought about getting different rims all together - but unless i can sell these for a decent price to cover the cost of new rims.. i'm not too keen on it!! (someone wanna offer me something i cant say no too? haha)

I know in the end its going to be my decision - just wondering if ya think it'll look hot with the black rims and polished lip?

Thanks
Jodes

Confused

Sorry about the pic - isnt the best - but you get the idea...
As is now:

photochopped black:

and the black will sorta look gloss i guess - kinda like what i had on my Supra:

imho I think rims which show the calipers/discs look much better. I'd say replace them, but as you've said you can't do that without selling these first.
With the two pics, I like the darkened rims more. I think it gives the car a meaner look. Just my opinion Smile

I would love to change the rims and get something else...
But unless someone wants to buy these ones for a decent price (they are RAYS) then its not going to happen anytime soon - since i dont really wanna be spending a heap more on rims atm!

the ones on my old Supra were nice - and they're 19s - but they didnt have much dish at all..
and when i get new rims - i want the DISH and a good offset so they sit out in the guards since they have been rolled!!

Loving the look of them in black - but not sure its something i should/want to do to RAYS! hehe

I'm not really a fan of the whole chrome/silver look, so DEFINATELY go black. Or change em up with different rims with spokes or something, workmeisters Cool

I like the black on black, if you do it you have to have a gloss black centre, and keep the lip chrome / polished.

i've always done the black wheel thing, however, i dont think it works on a black aristo. i am in the same boat as you - have photoshopped and it just doesnt look right for some strange reason! the car loses a bit of class. looks great on every other colour aristo though.

I also was one of the first back in the states to rock the black wheels. Only I did it with a '00 Chevy Silverado when everyone else was doing the bling thing. I say paint the centers, repolish the lips and call it a day. Wish I was in Australia, chicks that dig cars are the best. Keep doing what you're doing.

Thanks Smile
I'm thinking black is going to be the way - will have to find out some prices etc.....

hopefully it isnt too much to do all 4 - and clean them up a bit (they've got a bit of exisiting gutter rash on em)...

but yeah - reckon black on black would look HOT! Smile
